Stacey Halls è nata nel 1989 ed è cresciuta a Rossendale, nel Lancashire. Ha studiato giornalismo alla University of Central Lancashire e ha collaborato con vari quotidiani e riviste, fra cui The Guardian, Stylist, Psychologies, The Independent, The Sun e Fabulous. Mrs England, entrato nella selezione del Walter Scott Prize e del Portico Prize, è il suo terzo romanzo.
